This cutie-pie felt that 50 feet was too much of a separation between himself and mom.

 

August 2003, this colt was sleeping in the long grass, ducked flat when I walked by, then he got up and ran.

 

Water everywhere! This foal wasn't keen on going through the water, but mom was waiting on the other side.

 

These foals were grazing in the reeds, startled and ran to the safety of their moms.
